The Refugee Empowerment Program
(REP) exists to address the needs and concerns of the refugee
population of Memphis, Tennessee through empowerment programs
such as; tutoring, adult literacy, cultural adjustment,
citizenship preparation classes, health services coordination,
student advocacy, and job advocacy. Our vision is to equip,
enable, empower and encourage the refugee community to work

individuals with employment, personal attention and intensive
care. Program participants are invited to join daily
prayer, devotions and weekly Bible Studies to encourage
Christian values and strong work ethics. Participation in
these activities is voluntary and is not a condition for
